It's crazy how life can through you so many things at once. I just started a new job this week at Pangaea Lounge/ Gryphon Nightclub at the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood. I love it! The staff is great, and I also get to work with a former co worker. The spot is hot, you really gotta check it out if you havent already. As you would imagine its been crazy being that it's NYE weekend. So thats the good stuff, aside from the music going well. And then I have my uncle dying of Lou Garrig's disease. Looks like he is on his way out today, or tomorrow. Who knows. He is so young too, maybe 35 at most. I knew I wasnt going out this weekend. Everyone has been wanting to make plans and my gut feeling told me not to bother. Even my horoscope told me to spend it with friends and family no matter how attractive the offer. I think Im going ot have my own pity party and watch Dick Clark on tv. I hope he doesnt look too bad from the stroke. Aside from all that I'm feeling optimistic. Like a old wise queen said '' out with the old,a nd in with the new, its time for a change''.

So I answer this ad,and nowhere did it say anything about boots.But this guy had a thing for boots. Luckily I have a great pair of platformed boots. I figured I'd try it cuz he was hot,and I'm like the Madonna of sex, so I thought I'd re invent myself. By that I mean, wearing the boots, t shirt, no earrings and not shaving, lolol. Oh and I cleverly covered my blonde streaks. Good thing my hairdresser did them in a way that I could hide them and be a full on brunette. I'm cracking up as I right this, cuz it would make a great skit. Its sorta like a Superman ,Wonder Woman change. You cant recognize them cuz of their glasses. In my case, its the blonde streaks and earrings, LMAO. Anyway , I thought I'd share something personal since Ive been M I A . Stayed tuned for more....

So I'm back from NY. I cant believe I drove there and back. I cant believe Glen Friscia played my record on his mixshow on Mix 1027.I can't believe I heard my song being played at a hot,sexy,raunchy, party while watching a dancer get his salad tossed.I cant believe my friend John is in ICU,and we dont know why.I cant believe I wrote and record 4 songs in a day with Giuseppe D.I cant believe I got my friends Tina Sue,and the Notorious N.A.T. to do back up on my track.I cant believe how good Mix 1027 is.I cant believe Dear Diary is number 5 at Perfectbeat in L.A. The glamorous life?
Had a cocktail. / Did a bump.With those six simple words, vocalist Michael M. ignited a firestorm in clubland—and the inferno isn’t likely to die down anytime soon. The lyric is part of “Dear Diary,” a tune about going out, getting clobbered and etching another sliver in the headboard after another meaningless dance-floor hookup following a night of shameless promotion. In other words, according to Michael: another typical night out. “In dance music we tend to do songs about ‘feeling higher’ with lyrics like ‘set you free’ and ‘everybody dance,’” Michael muses. “But the truth is there’s a lot of shady stuff going on in our lives everyday. People might think someone who is a club promoter leads a life that’s glamorous and they wish they could have their money or their fame, but you don’t know the hell they’re going through to keep that up.”
He should know. As a marketing and promotions maven in his present residence of Miami, Michael M.’s roots date back to New York in its heyday of anything-goes big-room debauchery. “I got my start as a club kid passing out flyers back in 1992,” he recounts. “I did the whole Michael Alig, Webster Hall, Limelight, Club USA, Tunnel thing when it was okay to wear platform shoes, take a roofie and fall flat on your face—that was my time!”
In the years since, Michael traded tranquilizers for dance tracks, lending his voice to cuts such as “Let’s Talk About Me” on the now-definct Strictly Rhythm label and the more recent “The DJ Lets You Have It,” released in 2003 on Harlequin Records. But whereas the success of his prior endeavors was due largely to the big-name producers behind the beats, with the release of the Giuseppe D. produced, electro-infused “Dear Diary,” the vocalist has found a great deal of attention placed squarely on him—and the six words comprising that controversial lyric.
“There’s a serious message behind the track overall,” Michael defends. “If you can get past [the lyric], you find that it’s not a glamorous song at all. Most of the song is about going out and being plastic and the guy you’ve been waiting for all night never calls so you have to go and find another trick—it’s the truth, and if it’s not happening to you, then it’s happening to someone you know. I got the best feedback from the track from DJs and promoters who heard the song and told me, ‘This is my life! I go out every weekend and talk shit with people I don’t even like!”
For all the haters still not convinced of the song’s sarcasm, Michael offers a comparison any queen can comprehend: “What about a show like Absolutely Fabulous? When you really look at it, it’s a show about an alcoholic middle-aged woman with a drug-addicted friend, but we think it’s hilarious!”
Beneath the sorrow and darkness, there is an undeniable humor in “Dear Diary.” After all, some of the greatest comedy possesses an element of genuine tragedy (a pie in the face is funny to everyone but the person getting creamed)—a fact of which Michael M. is well aware. “It took me a while to say to myself, ‘I’m campy, people like it, get over it!’” he laughs. “And if I get flak for being the Jose Canseco of dance music for this, then that’s just the way it goes.”

Anyway, the record is out,its doing its thing.Im pretty suped about the labels new distributer.They have gotten the record into stores that never carried any of my music before.Especially overseas like in Italy, Russia,UK.I dropped like 30somehting cds in the mail this week for Billboard djs.I'll probably drop the other 13 by next week.Right now Im just sending it to djs I know personally,and to the ones already playing it.I know I should send it to all of them,I might inthe end but between budget and experimentation ,this is it for the moment.The good thing is that alot of these djs are mixshow djs too,so If I can kill 2 beds with one stone, great!My trip to NY is getting closer,Im excited yet nervous.Right now the trip was cut down to 5 days,so I really gotta make the most of my time.Im gonna squeeze in a little studio time,make the rounds,giveaway some videos,amybe some singles.Basically plant some seeds so I can come back and do it right.Well Im off to buy some product, I got a hot haircut from my hairdresser ''Jorge Zabaleta'' as part of my maintanance for the trip.Next week, brows! Now if I could a way to drop 20 pounds in 2 weeks.LOL.

So much happened over the weekend so Im just gonna give you the cliffnotes.Friday was hot at Torpedo.Shane, Tai,Malakai,and and another cuties porn name I can remember, turned it put for the Allboysvideo.com release of Shanes Addiction.They boys gave hot shows,gave away autographed dvds while I was either in the dj booth with Michael Tank,or at the bar with the mic in hand mcing the show and talking talk.lol.Cant wait to see what the road show is gonna be like,cuz these boys are WILD! I also got news the video is going to be used at Gay Day for the Versace fashion show.I'll be here working , but I'll be there via video.Its kinda good cuz I miss the scandel.I'll talk about it later when it blows over.Sunday Jorge and I did DT and went to Pawn Shop for Mykel Steven's and Carmel Orphir's party Plastic Fantastic.We were greted by none other than Sobe Door Legend Reese.Now let me tell you I love this place.Reminds me of the NYC 90's and the Kitchen Club.Its not too str8, too gay, just right,and alot of fantasy.To top it off Larry Tee was spinning.Its amazing how open format the open format is.Defitnitly gives that house party feeling.We ran into Buster at A3TV,looked hot as always.This is a guy thats not your usual radio jock.His voice macthes his body.Anyway gave him love to carrying the video.Ran into Mykel,Carmel,Jose, Larry,Ani,Ben,got our pic taken for Clubplanet .com.Gave Larry the dvd and 12inch, we were out.Headed over to Warehouse for Anthem.That was hot, sticky,sexy,and I found some cool under a vent.Ran into Alan T, Eric, Michael Tronn, Omar,Michael,Shelly,Elaine,JR Davis,oh and he took my pic too, and so on .Tracy turned it out,I cant imagine what Peter did.But by then I was way too tired and there wasnt any motivation to stay in site.Thats it for now,I'm gonna have a dip in the pool.xoxo M.M.

Googling yourself can be so much fun.I google myself so much I'm starting to go blind.LoL Anyway ,so I found out I was on a dj chart in Italy,the Iacobhouse chart,and on a record store site that covers Germany,Austria,Russia, Hungary, Czech Republic,and Slowakia. Judging by the site and by Dj Spyder at Unique Distribution we have a June 13th release date for vinyl on Amplitude Recordings. The remix version of the video is on the way and should be done in a week.In the meantime you can catch a trailer to the video at the label site. I performed last night at Torpedo in Lauderdale,boy was that a hoot. Reminded me of when I was 19 living in Jersey,and wacky performances we gave ot outlaw parties.Theme of the night was like a talk show,'' Late night with Daisy D.Of course it was hosted by known other than our very own ''Queen on the Scene'' Daisy D. Troy, Bruce,Keith and the staff outdid themselves with the show intro,commercials,and set.I performed as well as TP Lords,p.s. I heard the bitch sing,and she can sing.Also Cody from emale.com was there , I think thats the site, anyway,and of course Daisy performed as well.It was outrageous,and outrageus thing s were said.What was great for me personally was that alot of the people there we're familiar with the song and the lyrics already.I have'nt experienced that in awhile,so I'm taking that as a good sign of whats to come.They also premiered the video,everyone got it,and there were alot of laughs,another good sign.Also I woke up to good news,fusion radio in chicago at fusionchicago.com added the Control Freak Mix of Dear Diary to their rotation immediatly on Saturday,another good sign.abd alot of great response,another good sign.So son't forget to support these people, your bars, djs,radio stations,drag queens, artists,he's a shameless plug, look out for the single on beatport.com soon, very soon.Back to what I was saying, support,support ,support,cuz it'll all come back to you.Better clubs, better music, better entertainment,better radio.We have to stop bitching and something about.Look at me for example,I'm going to go support a local bar and have a drink,lol.

Dear diary,sorry I havent been consistant,but Ive been busy being inconsistant.lol.So the video is done,and I cant wait to show everyone.The video is chockfull of celebs,and if you enjoy watching celeb parodies then this is your cup of tea.Right now their in the process of converting it to Realtime.So it seems like its all coming together,been getting more play and requests like in Nashville!Check out DJ Ron's site www.djron.com Plus I got some play in Panama,and Lauderdale, New York,Chicago ,so I hear.Talk about the extreme.I guess I will address it now,I'm not used to this living in public internet life ,but Ive gotten several emails from people asking me if Im talking about Alan T in my record.It's part of a verse that mentions,''i hate this dj, he didnt play my record, he played you know whose,but that's ok, out with the old and in with the new,its time for a change.I can't say I'm surprised people would say that,it's the nature of the biz, pinning artist against each other.Its the whole Madonna/Cyndi, Britney/Christina thing.You can also catch Alan in my video too,he makes a cameo.The truth is I had 3 people in mind when I wrote that,so try to figure that one out.Honestly I'm more worried about Kelly Osbourne stealing my look and sound!LMAO,but seriously I'm not a hater,I actually dig her new sound.The goodthing about her doing this new sound is that hopefully it will open doors for others like us.That's it for now,Im going to go before I stick my foot in my mouth.I will be back with more news soon.

Yay!The record is getting bigger and bigger.Its going at the pace I was hoping for.The video is almost done,we took the pics last week.So their in the process of placing my head on my body. www.mikemorales.com The things you find when you google yourself.Here I am celebrating 420 when I get in the mood to google myself,and what do I find ?A chart by a hot dj in Portugal Mike Morales.He also charted Dear Diary last month.I havent even heard this mix yet.the suspense is killing me.From what i gather this mix has been in the works for ages.No way back hasnt been formally released it.It appeared on Peter's Live at the Roxy Vol 2 under Elec-trick,No way back.There was early talk about making it the b side to Dear Diary, but we opted out to solely focus on Dear Diary.It still could end up as a b side,or a single on its own,or another compilation,or strictly as a promotional.What I do like about it,is that it shows the power of the upcoming single when lost projects start to reappear,old trax start to make noise,and I know there's a few people out there waiting for the opportunity to go into their vaults.But hey,as long as I get my royalty check,I'm good.
